Spending ample time in the West End, I’m continuously astounded by the multitude of day-to-day tasks I can effortlessly accomplish without relying on my car. As I wander through the district, acquainting myself with business owners, I find delight in both logging my steps and forging connections with proprietors.

Whether it entails dropping off my dry cleaning at Garden Cleaners (1529 Webster St.), procuring "pantry essentials" at Jezerra Halal Market (1525 Webster St.), or indulging in a manicure-pedicure session at High Beauty Salon (1419 Webster St.), all while relishing an exquisite lamb sandwich from Domenico's Italian Deli (1407 Webster St.), everything I need is right here on Webster!

For those familiar with the West End's charm, The Fireside Lounge stands as a premier destination for live music on the island. On May 10, my friends, Chris James and the Showdowns, a Bay Area Americana Rock band renowned for their heartfelt, dance-driven, soulfully crafted songs echoing the spirit of classic rock will take the Fireside stage. The evening will start at 8, with the pop/rock ensemble Great Highway.
