Ruby Bridges Elementary School PTA — Annual Dance-A-Thon
Tuesday, October 31
This event is the school's biggest fundraiser of the year, and funds raised help support field trips, classroom supplies, assemblies, the STEAM program, and more. As you may know, PTAs and fundraisers backfill a significant portion of activities that happen in schools, and our small-but-mighty PTA has not historically been able to fundraise at the level of other schools in Alameda. This school is designated as a Title 1 school, meaning that a significant majority of our students qualify for free and reduced lunches. Every donation received goes directly back to enhancing education and promoting equity for the students.
In addition to being able to donate through individual students, this year there is an opportunity for businesses to donate to the Dance-a-thon through a general donation page; these funds will go directly to the PTA to supplement what the students raise. Ruby Bridges Elementary PTA is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. EIN is 20-5051029. Donations made to Ruby Bridges Elementary PTA are tax deductible to the extent permitted by current IRS regulations.
If you would like to consider donating, or are able to distribute to other interested businesses or individuals, that would be so appreciative! Please feel free to contact them with questions: rubybridgesPTA@gmail.com.
Have an Event or Promotional Flyer for this Newsletter?
WABA members can send information to linda@westalamedabusiness.com by Noon on Tuesday for consideration in this weekly email. Be sure your information includes dates, addresses, websites, and other calls to action — who, what, when, where, why! Fliers should be sized similar to social media posts (ie., not too horizontal or vertical).
Please take a moment a view our flyers on upcoming events. As always, it's a pleasure to advocate and represent West Alameda, a neighborhood I personally call home. WABA - creating community through business!
