Happy August 24th!

At WABA, we are constantly evolving our marketing strategies to better promote our district, businesses, and associate members. This week, we're excited to unveil our newly designed eNewsletter!

As you know, WABA sends out a (nearly) weekly email newsletter to over 2,000 local subscribers who have opted in to stay informed. This presents a fantastic opportunity for you to promote your business or upcoming events.

We offer two main advertising options for our members, and soon for associate members as well:

  1. Promote an upcoming event or special offer.

  2. Highlight an evergreen opportunity that remains relevant indefinitely.

The only requirement is that your promotional graphic must be submitted as a .png, .jpg, or .eps file in a square format (e.g., 1:1 ratio, such as 1200 x 1200 pixels). It's also beneficial if your graphic includes all key details: Who, What, Where, When, Why, and a URL.

Please send your files directly to submissions@westalamedabusiness.comDue to limited resources, submissions that do not meet the size specifications will be returned for revision.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending the Electrify Expo’s Opening Reception at Alameda Point. This exciting event is happening this weekend, right here in Alameda. Billed as North America's largest electric vehicle festival, the Electrify Expo spans over 1 million square feet and features the world’s top electric brands! Experience and test drive electric cars and trucks, ride e-bikes, e-motorcycles, e-scooters, e-skateboards, and even e-watercraft. There will also be delicious food, live music, a huge kids' zone, and plenty of opportunities to learn about all things electric. So, after enjoying breakfast on Webster Street, grab your tickets and head over to Alameda Point for a truly unique experience!

Speaking of wonderful experiences, this past weekend we hosted our 3rd West is Best. As promised, Midnight Flyer had all 400+ attendees up and dancing to the music of the Eagles.

We also featured some fantastic artists and vendors: Oak Barrel WoodcraftCrochet AmoretteIII Antiques & ThangsA&E CraftspaceAAPS “Vintage Home Tour,” Inky Fingers Print Shop, The Quinnz, Malaya BotanicalsTreats by Mrs. TSwings & WingsThe Thrifty KittyHess-Johnson Art

I’m looking forward to the 4th, and final event of our series with The Four Stooges. Our friends and partners at Digifli are so excited, they knocked out this post plugging the show.

Lastly, don’t forget to RSVP for our August 28th Mixer at ALA Mediterranean Grill & Mezzes (1504 Webster St.). The event runs from 5:30 to 6:30 PM and promises an evening of networking, delicious food, and an opportunity to learn more about the City of Alameda’s Zero Waste Implementation Plan. Be sure to RSVP by August 26 at events@westalamedabusiness.com

Here’s to another wonderful week on the West End!
