Join Alameda and East Bay residents, and Alameda city officials for a special screening of Time to Choose -- a beautiful 2016 documentary (by Charles Ferguson, Oscar-winning Inside Job filmmaker and Tom Dinwoodie) outlining today's broad range of global climate challenges alongside solutions now available to solve them.

Executive Producer, Tom Dinwoodie (former co-founder, SunPower) and Sierra Club Executive Director, Michael Brune (a local Alameda Resident!) will join us for a live panel discussion following the film. You will hear what these leaders are working on today, as well as learn about multiple - EASY - ways to get involved in active, ongoing solutions happening across Alameda, and throughout the Bay Area.6:00-6:30pm - Wine & Cheese (VIP Reception with Tom, Michael and local Alameda City Officials)

6:30-8:30pm - Feature Film (documentary)
8:30-9:00pm - Speaker Panel & Discussion with Tom and Michael

Seaplane Water Fest - New Date!
Join us for a free demo day at the Seaplane Lagoon featuring a variety of water sports available here in Alameda. Get out on the water and try stand-up paddleboarding, paddleboard yoga, kayaking, or sailing. Please note, tours and trials are first-come-first-served. The event is all ages. However, youths must be accompanied by an parent or guardian. To get out on the water there are minimum age requirements -- Stand up paddleboarding (10+), Kayaking (6+), Sailing (8+). What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? Plenty of free and secure bike/car parking. AC Transit #96 stops nearby at Pan Am Way and W. Midway Ave. What can I bring into the event? Sunscreen, shades, and waterproof shoes.
